To begin with an introduction, there will be net practise sessions for the initial development of young players at Assumption Public School. We have a team of professional coaches that facilitate the training programmes at the school. We have 2 in-house teams of different age groups and genders as well, which have also participated at the state level. We believe in making athlete-centered sports parsons with a highly competitive spirit.
Due to the enthusiastic participation of the students, hockey has held a special place in the history of the Assumption Public School. Most popular among girls, this sport is fast, safe and exciting at the same time. Our students have also participated in numerous tournaments at the state, district, and local levels. These kinds of sports develop critical thinking and make students more physically and mentally active. Regular involvement in such sports also improves their decision-making and leadership skills.
The school offers various dance forms based on every student's interest either it is classical, folk or western. We have dance classes available for all our students of all ages. Dance helps kids enjoy their life more and helps them grow a positive point of view towards their creative aspect. We have a team of professionally trained dance teachers and instructors. We often conduct in house contest and programmers for our students to keep them entertained and keep their competitive spirit alive.
Volley ball is popular sport vastly known for its health benefits. The activities required when playing volleyball strengthen the upper body, arms, shoulders, thighs, abdominals, and lower legs. The performance of Assumption Public School's Volleyball team is has been elevating consistently. We train the players with the professional coaches. Our school has Professionally Trained coaches with NIS Qualification. Practice matching with trained professional give our players a wonderful experience and allows them to correct their mistakes.
Kho Kho is a traditional Indian sport that is gaining popularity worldwide. It is one of the oldest outdoor sports, and it is also very popular at Assumption public school. The Kho Kho game gained international credit with the first Asian Championship, which was held in Kolkata in 1996. Kho Kho includes the participation of nine players, and we will have different teams based on gender and ages. Perceiving the potential of the sport, we are putting our best foot forward to make this sport more popular among our students.
